Students will learn how to:

– Wire single pole and 3 way switching to control lighting * Install 120-volt receptacles * Install light fixtures

– Build a house service from the meter outside to the 100 amp breaker panel inside the house

– Wire low voltage home controls, thermostats boiler controls, doorbell systems

– Install 120 volt home smoke detector systems

– Read construction Blueprints, following the National Electrical codes to determine electrical circuits in a house

– Learn proper use and tool identification and maintenance

– Learn how to install CAT6 data cabling for computer and telephone drops

– Learn the craft of Electrical Metallic Tubing bending for commercial wiring

– Learn what material is needed to complete any electrical task

– Learn electrical power distribution in a residential setting

– Learn installation of power and lighting circuits

– Troubleshoot receptacles and switching

– Be introduced to the National Electrical Code

 

* Upon graduation, students will be OSHA 10 certified
